Dare to Do

Khatsini Simani, ’19

B.A., Business Administration
Ph.D. student, Information School
GO-MAP research assistant

In celebration of Black History Month, the ˾ salutes Khatsini Simani. Khatsini wants to empower people with tools for financial literacy. A former McNair Scholar, she’s connecting that passion with research as a Ph.D. student in information science. We’re proud of Khatsini and the UW McNair Scholars Program’s 20-year legacy of preparing underrepresented minority, first-generation and low-income students for doctoral studies.

“Information is what is exchanged, but it’s really about human connections and opening up worlds so exchanges can happen.”
