UW鈥檚 community standards and expectations encompass a number of areas that impact and inform our community: Academic integrity, academic engagement, co-curricular involvement, ethical conduct, community and compassion, and behavioral conduct. Our community standards extend to all aspects of your Husky experience both in and out the classroom.
The Student Conduct Code outlines prohibited behaviors and describes how UW holds all students accountable as they pursue their academic goals. As a student, it is your responsibility to know the Student Conduct Code. The Office of Community Standards & Student Conduct (CSSC) oversees the UW Student Conduct Code and conducts investigations of allegations that the Code may have been violated.
You have the right and responsibility to report alleged violations of the Student Conduct Code. Our reporting tool allows you to fill out an online form with the details of your experience. The tool allows you to upload photos, videos, documents, or other forms of evidence. A CSSC staff member will reach out to you to follow up on your report and explain the student conduct process in more detail. Examples of suspected violations are observing someone cheating on a test, seeing someone in possession of a weapon, or witnessing someone commit theft.
