Our Goals
UW Recreation is seeking to secure support for building a cohesive and comprehensive new branch of the department entirely:
UW Adaptive Sports & Recreation.
We are looking to establish a sustainable business model to grow slowly but steadily towards our long term goal of building out both grassroots programming but also competitive, intercollegiate athletics teams and Paralympians.

- Purchased 12 state-of-the-art RGK All Court sport chairs with internal UW grant funding
- Hosted second annual All Star Weekend Adaptive Sports Fundraiser in Alaska Arena
- Secured sponsorship to attend Hoopfest in Spokane(the world’s largest 3v3 tournament)

- Launching wheelchair tennis this year // next up para track & field
- Not only expanding in adaptive sports, but in ALL areas of recreation
Our Vision
Our Vision
– Become the only comprehensive collegiate adaptive sports and recreation program on the entire West Coast.
– Raise funding for the construction of a dedicated adaptive sports facility, Win National Championships, and Develop future Paralympians.
