Frequently Asked Questions
- We provide all hard gear- Snowshoes, tents, sleeping bags, backpacks 45L+, Trekking Poles
- We do not allow any personal gear on the trip such as tents, backpacks 45L+, ect
- All you have to bring will be listed on your packing list (ie. personal clothing and footwear)
- We pay all park entrance fees, parking fees and food for overnight trips
- Yes! You will meet on campus and be driven in UW vehicles
- You cannot meet us at the trail head you must meet us on campus
- Our meeting location is the Waterfront Activity Center
- If you drive to the WAC you will have to pay for parking
- For overnight school year trips you will receive your trip information after the drop date听 (2 weeks before your trip)
- For day trips you will receive your information the Monday before your trip
- You will receive a general destination but not a detailed itinerary- this is due to the nature of outdoor trips needing to be re-routed or changed

- Classes meet for multiple sessions.听No听refunds are听issued after the first session.听
- For any course that听meets for听multiple sessions, attendance at the first class is听mandatory.听
- Failure听to attend听an听activity听results听in a听100% loss听of the听registration fee.听
- No听refunds will be given after the trip has passed.听
- No refunds will be given if the trip has to be re-routed but still runs.
- No exceptions are听made for injury, illness, family emergencies, school conflicts, etc.听听
On- vs. Off-Campus Activities
- Off-campus activities are defined as any activities that leaves campus grounds. Off-campus activities may have an on-campus informational session or instructional meeting.听
- Overnight听trip听withdrawals听must be听made听at least 3 weeks听prior to听the听activity听to听receive a听refund.听
- Day trip听withdrawals听must be听made听at least听15 days听prior听to the activity to听receive a听refund.听
- Withdrawals made听8-14听days听prior听to the activity听result in a听50% loss听of the听registration fee.听
- Withdrawals made听7 or fewer days prior听to the activity听result in a听100% loss听of the听registration fee.听
- If you decide to听leave the trip early,听that will听result in a听100% loss听of听the听registration fee.听
- Attendance听to听pre-trip meetings, instructional sessions, or informational sessions is听mandatory听for participation鈥痠n off-campus activities prior to an outing.
